The Junior League of Kane & DuPage Counties, Inc. (JLKD) is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. JLKD works to improve the lives of women and children (ages 0-5) who live in poverty in Kane and DuPage Counties in the areas of health, education, and shelter through our various community programs, direct service, and advocacy.
Each year our members volunteer hundreds of hours to advance our mission and our goal of developing the potential of women in Chicago’s Western Suburbs. JLKD members work together to identify unmet needs, forge effective coalitions, and create change through our scholarship and grant program, community programs, and donor support. Not only does JLKD work to better the community, we also develop the potential of our members through leadership training opportunities.
Diversity and Inclusion Commitment
The League welcomes all women who value our Mission. We are committed to inclusive environments of diverse individuals, organizations and communities.
