JLKD Welcomes New Members

AURORA, Ill. (Oct. 3, 2013) — The Junior League of Kane & DuPage Counties, Inc. (JLKD) is pleased to announce its Fall 2013 New Member class.

New members will join JLKD in their ongoing efforts to improve the lives of local at-risk youth in the community by promoting literacy, developing self-esteem and implementing positive programming.

The New Member Class is composed of 14 accomplished women, dedicated to voluntarism:  Tonya Cook of Batavia, Corinne Cozort of Naperville, Amy Dolgin of Naperville, Juliann Dziubinski of Winfield, Kim Graves of St. Charles, Sable E. Handke of Naperville, Carrie Koziol of St. Charles, Melissa Krzyzanowski of Naperville, Hannah Milliken of Naperville, Elizabeth A. Nelson of Naperville, Linda Passaglia of Glen Ellyn, Bridgette Robles of Crest Hill, Abigail Solazzo of Carol Stream and Erin Tobias of Aurora.

In addition to supporting JLKD in school-readiness, the new member class will plan and implement the 2014 Junior Leagues’ Kids in the Kitchen program. JLKD’s annual Kids in the Kitchen event addresses the growing issue of childhood obesity and poor nutrition. The new member class leads this initiative by empowering kids to make the right choices that lead to a healthy lifestyle through fun and educational activities.

All women living in Kane, DuPage, Kendall and Will Counties are invited to apply for JLKD membership. Applications for the Spring 2014 class will be available at and are accepted through December 28, 2013.

The Junior League of Kane and DuPage Counties, Inc. (JLKD) provides outreach services to organizations and individuals in Kane, DuPage, Kendall and Will Counties.
